Reecptor Field Marshall

Field Marshall Intended Use:
PORTABILITY
The fold up design was intended to allow this receiver to be carried with you into the field where you need it, not left behind in the vehicle.
Even though it´s designed to handle the extended long-distance chase, most customers use their Field Marshall receivers to quickly find their birds when they´re down on quarry in tall grass or hidden in brush. Others monitor dog movements while walking behind them in the field.
We designed the Field Marshall to be rugged enough to withstand the rigors of daily use throughout the season.
RECEIVER SIZE AND BULK COMPARISON
This image shows three receiver designs now commonly in use by falconers:
1- an RB4 blue box with separate 3-element yagi antenna from AF Antronics connected by coax cable
2- an MN-10 with the receiver connected to the same AF Antronics 3-element antenna
3- the Field Marshall with 3 element collapsible antenna
The unwieldy nature and extra weight of the blue box design usually means the falconer tends to leave the whole arrangement back in the vehicle. The middle receiver is a step in the right direction but is still long and bulky and not balanced for ease of use during extended searches.
The Field Marshall is the logical evolution of receiver design that allows you to quickly deploy a full three element directional yagi, and still collapse down to the size of a large pistol for portability.
FULL THREE ELEMENT YAGI ARRAY
The collapsible yagi antenna from Marshall has the same gain and directionality as the fixed size designs. But it is spring loaded so that each element is always perfectly extended and straight. No wingnuts to fumble with. And since the receiver case is machined from a block of aluminum and uses overlapping joints, the internal components are shielded from signal swamping of strong signal when searching up close. All signals come through the antenna.
ANALOG CONTROLS
Simple, self evident analog controls are intentionally used to make operation and use simple. Everything is contained in a straightforward control panel with the speaker chamber facing you. If you order the receiver with the handle removed, the controls and sound still face upward and toward you while carrying or walking.

CONVENIENT SIZE
Falconers can carry the receiver in one of the pockets of a hawking vest, where it´s quick to find and deploy to check for a signal. Weighing just 2 lbs, this receiver was designed to stay with you on the long walks through the field.

LIGHTWEIGHT
For extended periods of use, the Field Marshall is balanced and lightweight. The center of gravity has been designed around the top of the handle so that there`s no fatigue over time.
