Transmisor Marshall Micro

Micro Intended Use:
SMALLEST SIZE
The Micro is our smallest transmitter design, weighing only 3.5 grams with the 1025 lithium coin-cell battery installed. Yet its range exceeds that of most transmitters twice or three times its size and weight.
While the Micro might be used as a primary transmitter on any sized bird, it was intended for use with the very smallest of raptors. Nearly twice the power of the BP, the Micro puts out a surprisingly big signal for its small size. It uses the same circuit internally that we use in the bigger RT but due to the tiny 1025 coin-cell battery, gets a little less range than the RT which uses the larger 1/3N for power.
AS A TAIL MOUNT
a tail mount, the Micro lays flat on the tail. Shown here on the deck feather of a tiercel peregrine, it´s shape adds to its safety in this application.
The Micro for 2003 now has a magnetic on/off switch so it can be left on the tail, or, at a minimum, will not require that you unscrew the lid and remove the battery after each flight to turn it off. It will also have the short, safe antenna length.
GREAT AS A LEG-MOUNT
It does equally well as a leg mount due to the flat shape and light weight. A small bewit slot is machined right into the case for secure attachment.
The extra light weight greatly minimizes the possibility of a toe injury during the season with a hard hitting gamehawk.
MOUNTED ON A MERLIN
The small size of the Micro is more obvious when shown mounted on this Richardson´s Merlin. For the Micro tail mount option, we´ve designed its own tail piece (next picture) to match the small quill diameters of these birds.
The tail mount gets the equipment up off the feet and out of the way.
MICRO SIZED TAIL-PIECES AND INSTALLATION TOOL
In this image, Terry installs the especially small tail piece has been made just for the Micro transmitter.
The matching tail-piece installation tool is used to quickly install the tail piece from above on to the deck feather of a Merlin. The process is quick and simple causing much less strees to the bird.
USE ON LARGER BIRDS
The Micro is also ideal for tiercel peregrine sized birds as well. In this image, the tiercel is wearing the Micro as a tail mount together with a BP as a leg mount for back up. Notice the flex of the tail-spring as the bird mounts and exerts vertical forces to the spring.
