No sé a qué te refieres con lo de más claro que el bubo bubo (no sé si te estás aclarando); todos ellos son subespecies de Búho Real (Bubo bubo).
Aquí te copio todas las subespecies reconocidas y las regiones que pueblan (Subrayo las que tratamos habitualmente):

Bubo bubo bubo, The nominate race - Europe from Pyreaces and Mediterranean east to the Bosporus and Ukraine, north to Scandinavia, Moscow and Northwest Russia.

Bubo bubo hispanus inhabits the Iberian Peninsula and possibly wooded areas of Atlas Mountains in Algeria and Morocco.

Bubo bubo ruthenus - North-western Russia - East of a line From Moscow to Pecbora, to Ural River south to the mouth of the Volga river.

Bubo bubo sibiricus - West Siberia and Bashkiria to middle Ob River and West Altai Mountains, north to limits of the taiga. A very pale subspecies. The subspecies baschkiricus may be ragarded as the same as sibiricus.

Bubo bubo interpositus - from Asia Minor and southern Russia eastwards. Bessarabia, Crimea, Caucasus, Asia Minor, Palestine, Syria and Iran. This may be a seperate species.

Bubo bubo yenisseensis - Central Siberia between Ob River, Lake Baikal, Altai Mountains and North Mongolia. The subspecies zaissanensis may be regarded as the same as yenisseensis.

Bubo bubo jakutensis - Northeast Siberia.

Bubo bubo ussuriensis - Southeast Siberia to North China, Sakhalin and Kuriles. The subspecies dauricus and borissowi may be regarded as the same as ussuriensis.

Bubo bubo turcomanus - Ranges eastward across Kazakhstan through steppe, semi-desert and hill country to Lake Balkhash in Central Asia. The subspecies tarimensis may be considered the same as turcomanus.

Bubo bubo omissus - Turkmenia and adjacent Iran and Chinese Turkestan. The subspecies gladkovi may be regarded as the same as omissus.

Bubo bubo nikolskii - Southern Iraq, Iran and most of Afghanistan through to Pakistan.

Bubo bubo hemachalana - From Tien Shan to Pamir Mountains, north to Kara Tau, south to Baluchistan and the Himalayas. The subspecies auspicabilis and tibetanus may be regarded as the same as hemachalana.

Bubo bubo kiautschensis - Korea and China south to Sichuan and Yunnan. The subspecies setschuanus, inexpectatus, tenuipes, and jarlandi may be regarded the same as kiautschensis.

Bubo bubo swinhoei - Southeast China, a relatively small, rufescent form.

Para seros sinceros desconocia todas esas subespecies del bubo bubo, bueno alguna si, pero tantas no.
