Re: Kazajstán y la Ásia Central
The 5th Championship of Kazakhstan on Falconry has gathered in Karkaralinsk 22-24 January 2009 the best berkutchi of the country.
Imitation of people’s art has reached unprecedented swing – among participants of the competitions were not only experienced berkutchi, but one young lady and children. Falconry today – not survival method but the competition only. The skills of "winged hunters" were tested in one of the most spectacular corners of Kazakhstan. Rabbits and foxes were prepared in advance specially for that. However imitation of hunt on wolf was rejected – for security reasons.
Before start each bird was tested for outer look: the Golden Eagle should not only be able to hunt, but its feathers with beak should be in a full order (perfect conditions).
Among participants there are all both adult and young ones. For example, ammunition of berkutchi was in favour to 10-year Ermek Imanzaip. With a special importance, like a real hunter, small boy was preparing to show the skills of his bird. Love to the Golden Eagle in this boy is not occasional – the family tradition tells that his grandfather and father hunted too, now is his turn.
Ermek was the youngest among all participants, however its Golden Eagle on the eyes in front of all easily has catched hare. As it was turned out, it was not the first time for young hunter.
